Job Summary:
The Microsoft Systems Administrator will be responsible for protecting and preventing security risks by maintaining our software inventory, managing updates and systems configurations. This role could also be located in UK or Dublin or Cayman.
General Responsibilities
Duties include
- Responsibility for the deployment of system and software updates and patches using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, (SCCM) Azure Update Manager and Powershell
- Automation of the distribution of software and secure configurations using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Azure Update Manager and Powershell
- Testing application and operating system patches before deployment tocatch unexpected issues before broad deployment
- Co-ordinating downtime with system owners for maintenance and update
- Reviewing recommendations and weakness in vulnerability tools and taking a risk-based approach to remediating them
- Staying up to date with vulnerabilities and cybersecurity trends
- Reviewing threat Intelligence reports for recommendations and actions
The position requires an applicant with 3+ years of solid work experience in IT or CyberSecurity in a professional environment. Below are the required technical qualifications and experience
- Strong experience with PowerShell for automation and remote administration of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems and cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune for deploying software, updates and secure configurations
- General experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- General experience withMicrosoft Azure Update Manager
- Strong experience with troubleshooting common deployment and configuration issues with applications and configuration on Windows Desktop and Server platforms
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative and positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with updating IaaS virtual machines in a public cloud environment
Additional desired qualifications and experience include:
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable.io, Rapid7, Qualys, Defender Threat and Vulnerability management
- Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365
- Experience with cloud posture security management systems
- Knowledge of CyberSecurity principles
- Relevant certifications in system administration and cybersecurity including certifications issued by Microsoft, Comptia, Fortinet, GIAC(SANS), ISC2
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
